Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Furioto (ranked 287 p4p, 679 weight class) and Lars Kay (ranked 25 p4p, 54 weight class). Furioto comes to the cage accompanied by éŸ»è¸åˆçµ„åˆ - . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 35 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Furioto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lars Kay!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kay takes a swing at Furioto's ribcage but misses.
Kay throws a jab when Furioto was well out of range.
Kay misses with a hook. Furioto ducked under it nicely.
Kay throws a big shot that misses.
Kay misses with a looping left.
Furioto looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Kay closes the distance and clinches.

Furioto gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Kay is looking for a sweep. Furioto is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Furioto is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Furioto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kay is just riding it out for now. Furioto eventually gives up the hold.

Furioto is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kay has managed to free his arm - good work.

Kay looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kay is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Furioto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kay looking for submissions off his back.

Furioto is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kay gets back to full guard.

Kay has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Furioto is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kay.

Furioto is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kay is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Furioto's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Furioto! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Kay has tapped! This one is allllll over!
