Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tu Barrels (ranked 724 p4p, 812 weight class) and Puncher Face (ranked 43 p4p, 48 weight class). Barrels's entrance music is Lock stock and. A fine choice. Puncher Face will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Tu Barrels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Puncher Face! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barrels tries to score with a low kick but Face moves his leg out of the way. Face swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Barrels scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Face has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Face wants to get back to his feet. Barrels wants to lay and pray for a moment but Face keeps working. Barrels throws an elbow but Face slips to the side and avoids it well. Face is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Barrels is controlling him well. Barrels takes a little break here. Face wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Barrels looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Face is avoiding damage well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barrels advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. BOOM! Barrels connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's one minute gone in the round. Barrels lands a big elbow. Face is squirming around, avoiding Barrels's attempts to control the action. Barrels postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Face looks a forlorn figure.

Barrels throwing strikes but Face uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Barrels missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Face is looking to escape. Barrels is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Face doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barrels. Barrels sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Face defending well though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barrels controlling the action here. Barrels wants to control but Face is keeping him busy. Barrels prevents Face from standing back up.
Barrels is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Face reverses the position - he's now on top in Barrels's guard. Face wants to control from the top but Barrels keeps moving. Barrels wants to hit a sweep here but Face passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Barrels there! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Face wants to stand but Barrels is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Barrels wants to hold on but Face pushes him away. Face content just to control the position here. Barrels has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Barrels is squirming around, avoiding Face's attempts to control the action. Barrels can't escape the position.
Face get's back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A head kick misses from Barrels. Barrels looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Barrels changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A swing and a miss from Barrels. Face moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Face feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barrelss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Tu Barrels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Face looks to land a left hand but Barrels moved out of range nicely. Face walks into a jab. Face takes one to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Barrels. Face does a little dance to reset his feet. Barrels lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Barrels has his takedown stuffed and Face connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Barrels shoots in and bounces Face off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tu Barrels dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Face gets caught napping as Barrels dives in and scores a takedown. Face manages to retain guard. Barrels might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Barrels trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Barrels is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Face keeping moving, preventing Barrels from controlling successfully. Face wants to stand but Barrels is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barrels with a flurry of punches that miss. Barrels looking to pass the guard. Face is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barrels lands a couple of decent looking shots. Barrels trying to control but Face is working from the bottom. Barrels stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Face swivels though and keeps the full guard. Barrels in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Barrels looking to sit in guard and control but Face gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Face won't allow Barrels to sweep him here. Face sitting in guard here, content to control. Barrels is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Face can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barrels is adopting a defensive guard. Barrels's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Barrels looking for a sweep. Not yet Barrels, not yet. Barrels trying to control the position here. Barrels is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barrels slips a straight right by Face. A shot to the body from Barrels misses and Face counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nice uppercut lands for Barrels. That snapped Face's head back.
Face misses with a series of wild punches.
Face tests Barrels's chin there with a solid looking shot. Face lands a nice shot that snaps Barrels's head back.
Face misses with a few strikes there.
Face throws a nice looking combination but Barrels bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Face throws a series of punches but Barrels moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Face. Face moves out of range of the strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barrels shoots for a takedown but Face saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Barrels misses with a head kick.
A little jabbing left from Face on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Face ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Barrels moves away. Barrels swings away with a body shot that misses
enabling Face to counter with a crisp jab. Barrels decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Barrels not doing much here.
Face manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Barrels keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Barrels jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Face walks away with a smile on his face. Barrels gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A punch combination from Face misses. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Puncher Face showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Barrels misses with a straight right. Barrels showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Face.
Face's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Face duly obliges. Face takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Face takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Face keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barrels misses with a hook. Face thuds a left hand into Barrels's body. Face lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barrels circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Face bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Puncher Face is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Face takes a jab right on the kisser.
Face throws a right and a left that Barrels avoids nicely. Puncher Face seems to be getting the better of the standup. Face uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barrels.
Puncher Face is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Barrels needs to keep his hands up - Face had a free shot at his head there. Face connects with a jab. Barrels swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Face missing with a left hand there. Barrels was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Barrels misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Face.
Barrels ducks under a wild hook from Face. Barrels dives in and grabs Face's left leg, looking for a takedown. Face pushes down on Barrels's head and hops out. Face throws out a counter right but Barrels avoids it with no problem. A looping hook to the body misses from Barrels. Face does a little dance to reset his feet. Face swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Face looks to land a left hand but Barrels moved out of range nicely. Barrels shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Face sprawls well. Face wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barrels gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tu Barrels. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barrels keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Face. Barrels was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Face avoids the head kick by Barrels.
Barrels closes this distance looking for a takedown but Face circles away. Barrels scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Face scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Left hook, right uppercut from Face. Barrels shoots in looking for a takedown. Face tries to sprawl out of it but Barrels keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Face manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Face fails to land with a series of punches.
Face lands a nice hook to Barrels's body. Barrels takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Barrels misses with a straight left. Barrels lands a jab to the head.
Barrels ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Face moves away. Barrels avoids a punch combination nicely.
Face misses with a double jab.
Barrels misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Barrels. Face scores with a body shot.

and Barrels counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Face uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Barrels bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Barrels appears to be looking for a big counter. Face misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that's the end of the fight! Puncher Face comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Face has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
