Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Santos (ranked 1351 p4p, 1513 weight class) and Alex Steel Iii (ranked 59 p4p, 93 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Steel Iii!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Steel Iii misses.
Steel Iii takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Steel Iii swings widly with a right hand
and Santos makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Steel Iii really felt that one!
Steel Iii tries to score a power double leg takedown but Santos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Steel Iii somewhat.
Steel Iii looks to land a right hand but Santos moved out of range.
A slapping body kick lands there for Santos.
Steel Iii throws a right hand that misses
and Santos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Santos fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel Iii falls off balance throwing a combination
and Santos makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Steel Iii looks winded!
Santos throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Santos lands a really nice looking cross but Steel Iii seems unphased.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Santos lets loose with a powerful body kick. Steel Iii will feel that in the morning.

Santos feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Steel Iiis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Santos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Santos thows a body kick. Steel Iii tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Steel Iii walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nice body kick from Santos.
Santos lands a body shot.
Steel Iii walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A solid leg kick lands there for Santos.
Santos fails to land with a series of punches.
Santos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Steel Iii lands with an uppercut that bounces Santos off the cage and back into range.
Steel Iii misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Santos counters with a thumping low kick.

Santos sends Steel Iii crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Santos is motioning to the referee to let Steel Iii up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Steel Iii throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It looks like Santos has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Steel Iii is rocked!
Santos jabs Steel Iii to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Steel Iii has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Santos is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Steel Iii flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Steel Iii is out cold! Santos holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
