Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jean Luc Gaspard (ranked 2777 p4p, 1289 weight class) and John Joe Smith (ranked 197 p4p, 103 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Luc Gaspard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Joe Smith!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Gaspard.
Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gaspard.
Gaspard drops his shoulder and cracks Smith with a huge uppercut! Smith goes down! Can Gaspard finish him?
Smith is rocked!
Gaspard sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Smith is still in real trouble! Can Gaspard finish him?

Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith is controlling Gaspard's posture.
Gaspard slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gaspard ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Smith doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gaspard throws an overhand right that lands on Smith's shoulder, as Smith tries to avoid the shot.
Gaspard moves out of range of the strikes.
Gaspard misses with a right hand
and Smith counters with a stiff right hand.
Smith steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gaspard.
Gaspard looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range.
Gaspard misses with a hook. Smith ducked under it nicely.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gaspard darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Smith slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gaspard throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A little jabbing left from Smith on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gaspard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gaspard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gaspard throws an overhand right that lands on Smith's shoulder, as Smith tries to avoid the shot.
Smith throws out a counter right but Gaspard avoids it with no problem.
Gaspard connects with a looping right hand.
A swing and a miss from Smith.
Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Good shot there by Smith.
Gaspard throws a hook but Smith blocks it.
Gaspard needs to keep his hands up - Smith had a free shot at his head there.
Gaspard is rocked!
Gaspard swings widly with a right hand
and Smith counters with a huge right that knocks Gaspard out cold! Smith is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
