The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Phil Sprintin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Sprintin feints and then cracks George's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow George down.

Sprintin cracks George with an uppercut from hell and George crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Sprintin's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sprintin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sprintin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as George is looking to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sprintin throws some wild stikes that George manages to avoid easily.
Sprintin throws a sloppy strike and George uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and George has ended up in Sprintin's guard.
Sprintin is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
George must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
