Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bing Bang (ranked 1450 p4p, 1183 weight class) and Mad Panda (ranked 109 p4p, 96 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bing Bang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mad Panda!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panda fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bang goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Panda tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Panda shoots in for a takedown but Bang shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Panda moves to clinch but Bang breaks away
and Bang cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Panda counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Panda.
Bang lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bang sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Panda's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bang wants to control but Panda is keeping him busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Panda on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Panda keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bang looks to land a strike but Panda avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Bang trying to control the position from guard on top but Panda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Panda had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bang defends it easily.
Bang works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Bang is pressing down on Panda's thigh, looking to free his foot. Panda is holding on for now.

Panda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bang pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bang postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Bang is working Panda over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bang slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Panda looking for a sweep but Bang has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Bang fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Bang pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Bang is landing with some decent strikes but Panda is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Panda is desperately trying to improve his position but Bang has a good base and remains in mount.
Bang trying to control but Panda is having none of it.
Bang lands a couple of good shots and Panda has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Panda just trying to survive but Bang is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Bang controlling well, preventing Panda from escaping the position.

Panda is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bang gets his way!

Bang seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Panda's chin but Panda turns very nicely into Bang's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Panda.

Bang looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Panda is defending well. Bang quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Panda has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Bang celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bing Bang!
A very excited looking Bing Bang made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
