Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miet Cleever!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Leon Smith!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cleever fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Smith manages to avoid it.
Cleever slips a jab from Smith.
Cleever looks to score with a jab to the body but Smith is just out of range.
Smith thuds his right hand into Cleever's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Smith punishes Cleever's body with a nice straight punch.
Cleever's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Smith connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Cleever scrambles back to his feet.
Cleever throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Smith fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
It looks like Miet Cleever has been cut.

Leon Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Smith takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cleever uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Smith throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A little feinted left hand from Cleever on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Smith misses with the body kick
and Cleever counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cleever lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Smith lands an overhand right.
Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Cleever fires out a quick counter leg kick but Smith just manages to avoid it.
Cleever lands with a nice body punch.
Cleever sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick
and Smith takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cleever takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A head kick by Smith misses
and Cleever counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Good shot there by Smith.
We've been told by Cleever's head coaches at Hare of the Dog Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Cleever connects with a leg kick.
Smith throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Good standup being displayed there by Smith as he connects with a hook.
Cleever uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cleever throws a body shot but no joy.
Smith misses with a looping right.
Cleever ducks under a wild hook from Smith.
Cleever blocks the body kick.

Cleever tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cleever looks to land a body kick but Smith moved away.
Smith has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Smith swings widly with a right hand
and Cleever counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Smith off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Cleever follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Smith was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Miet Cleever!
