Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gotan Wasselach (ranked 493 p4p, 713 weight class) and Anthony Lalime (ranked 65 p4p, 100 weight class). Wasselach comes to the cage accompanied by Time Is On My Side by Maze. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasselach ducks under a wild hook from Lalime.
The fighters circling - Wasselach throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lalime looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A head kick by Wasselach misses
and Lalime cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Gotan Wasselach has been cut.
Wasselach cracks Lalime with an open hand slap.
Wasselach throws a hook to the side of Lalime's head but Lalime sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lalime throws out a loose jab but Wasselach uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lalime takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Lalime counters with a right hand to the body.

Wasselach takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lalime on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Lalime connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wasselach misses with an uppercut. Lalime saw that one coming.

Lalime gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Wasselach misses with a hook from the clinch.
Wasselach jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lalime walks away with a smile on his face. Wasselach gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Wasselach counters with a good low kick that Lalime was not able to check.

and Lalime counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wasselach thinking.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Lalime has managed to clinch.
Wasselach can't find room to land a body shot as Lalime controls the action.
Wasselach misses with the head strike.
Wasselach digs a right hand underneath Lalime's ribcage. Lalime let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Lalime pushes off an throws an elbow but Wasselach leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Wasselach doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lalime lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wasselach.
Wasselach tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lalime smiles and moves away.

Lalime wants to counter with a clinch but Wasselach pushes him away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wasselach.

As Wasselach backs off Lalime throws a huge counter combo but Wasselach manages to avoid it all.

Gotan Wasselach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lalime has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Wasselach seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Lalime can turn it around.

Wasselach throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lalime stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Gotan Wasselach's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
