Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitsu Misawa!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Misawa tries to bum rush Thrax with a series of wild strikes but Thrax uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thrax throws a shot to the body.
Thrax lands a slapping body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Thrax, as that shot connected.
Misawa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thrax.
Misawa clinches up with Thrax and pushes him back against the cage.
Misawa throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Misawa lands with a right to the head.
Misawa tries to throw a body punch but Thrax avoids it by throwing Misawa back against the cage.
Misawa keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Thrax's efforts to push away.
Misawa misses with an elbow over the top.
Misawa struggles to land a body shot inside as Thrax controls his hands.
Thrax tries to break free but Misawa pushes him back against the cage.

Misawa creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Thrax's defenses.
I was talking to Thrax's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Misawa misses with a hook to the ribs.
Thrax is trying to break free.
Thrax breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Misawa closes the distance and pushes Thrax back into the cage.

and Misawa makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Thrax really felt that one!

Thrax swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Misawa tries to close the distance and clinch but Thrax swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thrax swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thrax jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Misawa tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Thrax counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Misawa doesn't manage to clinch there - Thrax circles away.
Thrax stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thrax bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Misawa's head.

Misawa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thrax swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Misawa lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Ant Thrax has been cut.
Thrax uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Misawa was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Misawa is rocked!
Thrax knocks out Misawa with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Thrax before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Thrax picks up the big W with a huge KO!
