Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anabolic Asteroid (ranked 525 p4p, 171 weight class) and Katsu Yamasaki (ranked 58 p4p, 21 weight class). Asteroid comes to the cage accompanied by For Heavy Metal we will die!. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 32 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anabolic Asteroid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsu Yamasaki! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asteroid throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Yamasaki with the counter takedown but Asteroid avoids it easily. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Yamasaki has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Asteroid rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yamasaki counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Asteroid! Yamasaki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Asteroid is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Asteroid wants to get back to his feet but Yamasaki drags him back down. Yamasaki tries to move into full mount but can't pass Asteroid's legs. Asteroid is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Yamasaki has just dragged him back down to the mat. Yamasaki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yamasaki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamasaki is looking to take a break and control but Asteroid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Asteroid pushes Yamasaki away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Yamasaki gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamasaki wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Asteroid, who protects the arm well. Asteroid throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Yamasaki slips under a jab from Asteroid. Asteroid tries to clinch but Yamasaki is having none of it. Asteroid has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Heavy Metal in the buildup to the fight. Asteroid throws a jab but it's blocked by Yamasaki. Asteroid on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Asteroid misses. And Yamasaki tries to counter it with a takedown but Asteroid pushes his down on his head and steps out. Anabolic Asteroid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Asteroid closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Asteroid doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Asteroid pushes Yamasaki back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Yamasaki fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Yamasaki tries to score a body lock takedown but Asteroid shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Yamasaki is trying to pull guard but Asteroid has him pressed against the cage. Anabolic Asteroid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katsu Yamasaki. Yamasaki blocks an uppercut.
Asteroid lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Yamasaki has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Asteroid uses from the top position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yamasaki has his foot on Asteroid's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Asteroid works his way back into a safe position though. That's three minutes gone in the round. Asteroid wants to stand but Yamasaki has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Asteroid gets to his feet - Yamasaki follows without any prompting. Asteroid throws a leg kick that is checked and Yamasaki counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yamasaki. Asteroid has his feet on Yamasaki's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Asteroid throws a lazy head kick and Yamasaki decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Asteroid's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Asteroid is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yamasaki is controlling him. Yamasaki advances position into side control! Asteroid is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Asteroid tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Asteroid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yamasaki on the ground. Asteroid wants to get back to his feet.

A close round but Katsu Yamasaki will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Yamasaki lands a slapping body shot.
Asteroid slips a straight right by Yamasaki. Yamasaki jabs Asteroid right on the nose. Asteroid blinks but takes it well. The fight moves into the clinch position. Yamasaki pulls guard effortlessly. Asteroid would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Asteroid stands and steps away. Yamasaki gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Asteroid has Yamasaki up against the cage in a clinch.
Yamasaki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Asteroid walks away with a smile on his face. Yamasaki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Asteroid throws a nice inside leg kick. Asteroid gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Yamasaki jumps guard but Asteroid turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Asteroid is working Yamasaki over against the cage. Yamasaki is trying to pull guard but Asteroid turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Anabolic Asteroid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Katsu Yamasaki. Asteroid tries to work over Yamasaki's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Asteroid misses with an elbow over the top. A short right from Asteroid. Asteroid pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Knees in the clinch landing for Asteroid.
Asteroid swings wildly with an uppercut but Yamasaki uses good head movement to avoid it. Yamasaki can't get the takedown.
Asteroid lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Asteroid crunches a lovely knee into Yamasaki's ribcage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki jumps guard but Asteroid stands there with Yamasaki around his waist. Yamasaki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

And Yamasaki tries to counter it with a takedown but Asteroid pushes his down on his head and steps out. Asteroid wants to slow Yamasaki down by chopping away at his legs. Yamasaki lands with an overhand left. Asteroid looks to land a right hand but Yamasaki moved out of range. Yamasaki is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Yamasaki circles away from the clinch attempt.

Yamasaki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Asteroid lands with an uppercut that bounces Yamasaki off the cage and back into range. Asteroid smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Asteroid loads up on a big right hand but Yamasaki slips the punch.
