The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assndrop connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nurmagomedov's hands.
Maurits Assndrop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Assndrop fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nurmagomedov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nurmagomedov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nurmagomedov throws a hook to the side of Assndrop's head but Assndrop sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Nurmagomedov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Assndrop utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
