Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raleigh St. Clair (ranked 2316 p4p, 1394 weight class) and Hans Peter Baxxter (ranked 249 p4p, 157 weight class). Baxxter has chosen Weekend, Scooter as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raleigh St. Clair! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Hans Peter Baxxter! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St. Clair waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Baxxter. St. Clair backing away here, and Baxxter unleashes a leg kick that just misses. St. Clair misses with a jab to the body
and Baxxter counters with a solid body kick. St. Clair looks to score with a jab to the body but Baxxter is just out of range. Baxxter throws a head kick that misses. St. Clair misses with a left hand and Baxxter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. St. Clair listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. St. Clair scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St. Clair is looking to clinch but Baxxter is avoiding it.
Baxxter feints a counter leg kick. Baxxter misses with a jab, cross combination.
St. Clair has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sydney Top Team in the buildup to the fight. Baxxter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. St. Clair tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baxxter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. St. Clair throws an overhand right that lands on Baxxter's shoulder, as Baxxter tries to avoid the shot. Baxxter throws a quick inside leg kick. Baxxter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. St. Clair misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Baxxter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. St. Clair connects with a good right hand that stumbles Baxxter. Baxxter circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Baxxter throws a quick head kick that skims the top of St. Clair's head. St. Clair digs a good hook to Baxxter's body.
Baxxter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. St. Clair throws a body kick that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baxxter lands a jab to the nose. Baxxter takes one to the chin there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baxxter misses with a body shot.
St. Clair seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. The fighters circle momentarily. Baxxter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. St. Clair fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
St. Clair throws a low kick but Baxxter moves out of range easily. St. Clair tries to land a front kick but Baxxter steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. St. Clair throws a lazy right hand but Baxxter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St. Clair jabbing away but nothing is landing. St. Clair misses with a straight left. St. Clair misses the shot to the body. A nice side step and Baxxter releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Baxxter lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Baxxter. St. Clair shrugs it off though. Baxxter throws a head kick but St. Clair moves out of range.
Baxxter lands a nice shot that snaps St. Clair's head back.
St. Clair throws a body kick despite being completely out of range enabling Baxxter to counter with a crisp jab. St. Clair fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Baxxter is out of range. It seemed like Baxxter was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St. Clair scores with a hook. Nice shot by St. Clair. Baxxter takes a shot right to the bread basket. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! St. Clair misses with a low kick. Baxxter throws out a counter right but St. Clair avoids it with no problem. St. Clair checks a low kick from Baxxter. An attempted straight right counter from St. Clair misses the target. St. Clair looks to land a right hand but Baxxter moved out of range. Baxxter throws out a counter right but St. Clair avoids it with no problem. Good leg kick by St. Clair. St. Clair tests Baxxter's chin there with a solid looking shot. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Raleigh St. Clair will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! St. Clair fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Baxxter on the side of the head. St. Clair waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Baxxter. Baxxter replies with a solid counter kick to the body but St. Clair blocks it well. St. Clair throws a solid leg kick but Baxxter takes the impact on his shin and smiles at St. Clair. Baxxter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Raleigh St. Clair is winning the standup battle so far. Baxxter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St. Clair connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. St. Clair moves out of range as Baxxter strikes. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Baxxter might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, St. Clair has got the better of the exchanges. St. Clair throws a lazy uppercut
and Baxxter counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Baxxter in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
That's one minute gone in the round. St. Clair throws a quick head kick that knocks Baxxter silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! St. Clair is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

A very excited looking Raleigh St. Clair made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
