Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Yamasaki (ranked 333 p4p, 437 weight class) and Marski Martola (ranked 44 p4p, 58 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsu Yamasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 11 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marski Martola! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martola sizes up Yamasaki with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Yamasaki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Yamasaki tries to counter by clinching up but Martola breaks away and moves out of range. Yamasaki slips under a jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Martola has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Martola has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Martola there as he acknowledges the shot. Nice straight punches there by Yamasaki. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yamasaki. Martola misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Martola throws a jab when Yamasaki was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martola shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Martola moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Martola moves away from the strike by Yamasaki. Martola tries a quick counter leg kick but Yamasaki is wise to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamasaki keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Martola ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Yamasaki throws a sloppy body shot
and Martola counters with a left to the body. Martola throws a right hand that misses
and Yamasaki counters with a single leg into guard. Martola didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamasaki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Martola struggling a bit here. Martola prevents Yamasaki from improving position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki moves into full mount! Yamasaki pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Martola is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Yamasaki goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Martola turns into him and now he's in Yamasaki's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martola is aware though and is defending well. Martola won't allow Yamasaki to sweep him here. Martola is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Martola is looking to work some ground and pound but Yamasaki has wrist control. Martola slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Yamasaki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Martola defends well. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Yamasaki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Martola manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yamasaki tries to free his leg and advance position but Martola is retaining full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Katsu Yamasaki dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Martola works the jab nicely. Martola looks to clinch and Yamasaki counters with a takedown into side control. Martola is looking for a sweep. You can see the frustration on Martola's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Yamasaki tries to move to mount but Martola blocks the move with his legs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Martola gets back to half guard. Martola is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Yamasaki jumps into side control! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martola is trying to improve his position. Yamasaki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Yamasaki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Martola takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Martola tries to bench press Yamasaki off him but Yamasaki keeps the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Yamasaki thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Yamasaki fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Martola tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Yamasaki wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Martola is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Yamasaki is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Martola really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martola wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Martola wants to control his opponent's hands but Yamasaki gets his hands free. Katsu Yamasaki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Yamasaki working for a choke but Martola is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martola is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Yamasaki has locked on a rear naked choke here! Martola is tapping out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Katsu Yamasaki! Katsu Yamasaki spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
