The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Battuga throws a shot from downtown. Scarletwound moves away and avoids it.
Scarletwound motions for Battuga to come forward. Scarletwound throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Battuga sends Scarletwound crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Battuga is motioning to the referee to let Scarletwound up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Scarletwound misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A little jabbing left from Battuga on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Oh Scarletwound is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Battuga blocks a jab.
Scarletwound seems to have got his legs back now.
Scarletwound plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Battuga moves into the clinch.
Battuga lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Scarletwound.
Battuga misses with a punch on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Battuga as Scarletwound tries to tie him up.

Scarletwound's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Battuga drops Scarletwound with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Scarletwound looks back up at him and smiles so Battuga waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Battuga blocks a head kick by Scarletwound.
Scarletwound walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Battuga checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Battuga counters with a nice right hand that sends Scarletwound toppling to the canvas! Scarletwound scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Battuga finish him?!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
