Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Muhammad Watts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mickey Munday! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Munday is defended easily by Watts. Watts cracks Munday with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Nice takedown defense from Watts. No joy for Munday on that attempt. Watts scores with a jab to the jaw. Watts lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. A swing and a miss from Watts. Mickey Munday seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Munday goes for a double leg but Watts avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Watts continues to drive forward. Watts is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Muhammad Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mickey Munday. Watts throws a right and a left that Munday avoids nicely. Watts misses with a looping left. Munday shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Watts as he jumps to the side. It looked like Watts was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Munday.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munday gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Watts counters with a lovely straight right hand! Munday fails with the takedown and Watts counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Munday dives in and grabs Watts's left leg, looking for a takedown. Watts pushes down on Munday's head and hops out. Munday changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Watts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Watts regains half guard. Watts trying to hold on to Munday's head to control him but Munday postures up.
Munday prevents Watts from improving his position. Munday is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Munday misses with a takedown attempt enabling Watts to counter with a crisp jab. Watts gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Munday to score an easy takedown into full guard. Watts has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Munday is on him like a limpet, forcing Watts back against the cage. Munday is breathing heavily.

Watts lands with a left to the head. Munday changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Watts fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Watts is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A shot to the liver by Watts. Beautiful body shot. Munday moves forwards but Watts connects with a nice, crisp jab. Munday walks into a stiff left hand from Watts.
Munday is rocked! Munday shoots and misses and Watts counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
