Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladamir Fedetenko (ranked 43 p4p, 209 weight class) and Ricky Thompson (ranked 4 p4p, 18 weight class). Ricky Thompson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson is looking to clinch but Fedetenko is avoiding it.
Fedetenko was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
A shot to the body from Thompson misses
and Thompson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Ricky Thompson has been cut.
Thompson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fedetenko misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Fedetenko landing knees to the head.
Fedetenko tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Thompson throws a head punch that misses.
A right hand to the body from Fedetenko.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Fedetenko breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Thompson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Fedetenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Thompson misses the body punch
and Fedetenko counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A telegraphed right hand from Fedetenko misses the target.
Thompson misses with a hook to the body
and Thompson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Thompson misses with a takedown
and Fedetenko counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thompson thinking.
Thompson looks winded!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thompson is defended easily by Fedetenko.
A little feinted left hand from Fedetenko on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Fedetenko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Vladamir Fedetenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Thompson.
Thompson moves out of range of the strikes.
A countering left hand to the body from Thompson misses.
Thompson swings for the body but Fedetenko moves out of range.
Fedetenko throwing a counter right hand but Thompson manages to avoid it.
Fedetenko moves away from the strike by Thompson.
A quick step to the side and Fedetenko tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thompson wants to clinch but Fedetenko slips to the side
and Fedetenko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thompson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Fedetenko counters with a nice right hand that sends Thompson toppling to the canvas! Thompson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Fedetenko finish him?!

Thompson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Thompson glances at the clock... BAM! Fedetenko nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Thompson crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Thompson is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
