Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elrey Dorado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Babcock!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock catches Dorado with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Babcock tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
We've been hearing reports that Dorado has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Babcock throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dorado slips a straight right by Babcock.
Babcock misses with a right hand
and Dorado counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dorado walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Babcock takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Babcock is looking to score with low kicks.
Dorado slips under a jab from Babcock.

Dorado ducks under a wild hook from Babcock.
Babcock fails to land with a series of punches.
Babcock throws a jab but it's blocked by Dorado.
It appears Dorado was looking to counter with a kick there.
Dorado connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Babcock lands an overhand right.
Dorado throws a half hearted mid kick.
Dorado listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Dorado fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Babcock to the ground. Dorado is now in Babcock's guard.
Dorado tries to free his leg and advance position but Babcock is retaining full guard.

Babcock looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dorado wants to control from the top but Babcock keeps moving.
Dorado preventing the sweep.
Babcock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dorado's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Babcock accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Dorado is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Babcock frees his head nicely. Oh but Dorado has switched to an armbar! Babcock is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
