Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zayden Ahmad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a head kick.
Gracie uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ahmad misses the shot to the body.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ahmad - that will leave a mark!
Gracie connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ahmad. Ahmad circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gracie throws out a loose jab but Ahmad uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gracie throws a leg kick
and Ahmad counters with a nice kick to the body.
Gracie lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
That kick from Gracie tenderised Ahmad's leg. Ahmad is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gracie misses with a wild combination.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gracie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Ahmad cracks Gracie with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ahmad goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ahmad tries to clinch but Gracie moves out of range.

Gracie throws a head kick that misses.

Gracie bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And Gracie responds with a good body kick, but Ahmad manages to step out the way in time.
Gracie misses with a takedown attempt - Ahmad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ahmad pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gracie is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gracie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ahmad stuffs the takedown.
Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ahmad was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ahmad takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ahmad throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gracie swings for the body but Ahmad moves out of range.
Gracie connects with a solid leg kick.
Ahmad swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A telegraphed right hand from Gracie misses the target.
Ahmad moves forwards but Gracie connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Ahmad walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gracie.
Gracie lands a nice shot to the body.
Ahmad circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ahmad is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Gracie throws an off balance right hand
and Ahmad counters with a straight right hand.
Gracie misses with a head kick.
Gracie scores with a crisp jab that stopped Ahmad in his tracks.

and Ahmad counters with a straight right hand.
Gracie tries to bum rush Ahmad with a series of wild strikes but Ahmad uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gracie throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gracie misses with a left hand
and Ahmad counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gracie throws a leg kick
enabling Ahmad to counter with a crisp jab.
Ahmad bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gracie fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ahmad.
Gracie thows a leg kick but Ahmad checks it
and Ahmad counters with a nice uppercut.
Ahmad tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ahmad displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracie throws out the jab.

Gracie misses with a lunging right hand
and Ahmad finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie gets tackled into the cage by Ahmad. Ahmad maintains the clinch.

Ahmad tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Gracie misses with a punch on the inside.

Gracie wants a takedown but no success here.
Ahmad works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Gracie's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Ahmad keeps moving.
Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ahmad swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gracie postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ahmad is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gracie, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie has an active guard here but Ahmad has managed to pass into half guard.
Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Gracie moves into the clinch successfully.
Ahmad ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ahmad no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ahmad is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ahmad has escaped and now he's on top!

Gracie is desperately trying to improve his position but Ahmad has a good base and remains in mount.

I really don't envy Gracie right now.

Gracie is looking to advance position but Ahmad has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Gracie tries to reverse the position but Ahmad maintains control.
Ahmad fails to move to back control.

Ahmad tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ahmad tries to control but Gracie wriggling away.
Ahmad takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight!
