Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lamar Gordon (ranked 502 p4p, 833 weight class) and Pete Price (ranked 69 p4p, 111 weight class). Gordon comes to the cage accompanied by Coming Home - Ditty ft. Skylar Grey. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lamar Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Price!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price swings for the body but Gordon moves out of range.
Gordon throwing a counter right hand but Price manages to avoid it.
Price shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Gordon cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Price goes for a double leg but Gordon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gordon continues to drive forward.
Gordon swings widly with a right hand
and Price counters with a stiff right hand.
Price lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gordon at a distance.
Gordon takes one to the chin there.
Price throws a hook to the side of Gordon's head but Gordon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gordon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gordon tries to bum rush Price with a series of wild strikes but Price uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Price drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gordon defends it well.

Pete Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gordon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Price has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gordon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Price slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Price escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gordon gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Price throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gordon escapes and throws Price's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Gordon decides to stand back up. Gordon steps back and let's Price get back to his feet.

It appears Gordon was looking to counter with a kick there.

Price has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Gordon.
