Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gord Ryan (ranked 363 p4p, 293 weight class) and Samuel Sycek (ranked 48 p4p, 40 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Rusty Cage. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gord Ryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Samuel Sycek!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sycek gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ryan counters with a right hand to the body.
Sycek shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ryan but Ryan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ryan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ryan misses with a looping right.
Sycek wants to counter the offense by Ryan and move into the clinch position.
Ryan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sycek has his takedown stuffed
and Ryan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Samuel Sycek has been cut.
Gord Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Samuel Sycek.
Sycek tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ryan swivels and escapes.
Ryan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ryan throws a jab when Sycek was well out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ryan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Sycek doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ryan counters with a left to the body.
Sycek looks winded!
Sycek fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sycek.
Ryan cracks Sycek with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ryan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Sycek to stand back up!
Sycek is rocked!
Sycek shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ryan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ryan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sycek moves away.
Ryan cracks Sycek with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Sycek tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ryan pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Sycek is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gord Ryan!
During a confident post fight interview, Gord Ryan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
