Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wille Thai (ranked 26 p4p, 121 weight class) and AJ Brown (ranked 5 p4p, 18 weight class). Brown is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ace Hood - Undefeated. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as AJ Brown enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 33 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Wille Thai! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, AJ Brown! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thai misses with a takedown and Brown counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. A jab from Brown finds it's way through Thai's defenses. Thai gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Thai tries to pull guard but Brown holds him up against the cage and eventually Thai drops back down to his feet.
Thai is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wille Thai. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown scores with a shot to the side of Thai's head. Thai wants a takedown.
Brown tries a body shot but Thai blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Brown. Brown gets underhooks to prevent Thai's takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Thai tries to score a body lock takedown but Brown shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Thai is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Brown is defending well. Thai is breathing heavily. A head punch blocked on the inside by Thai. Brown misses with the head strike.
Thai prevents a body shot from Brown. Brown lands a right hand. Brown lands a shot to the body. Thai drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.
Thai looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Thai takes a body punch but keeps moving. Brown lands with a thumping leg kick.
AJ Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight moves into the clinch position. Thai goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brown prevents it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Thai goes for a takedown attempt but Brown pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Brown moves into the clinch. We've been informed that Brown has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Brown breaks the clinch.
Thai fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Brown with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Brown darts in and clinches Thai up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A nice left hand lands by Brown.

Thai wants the takedown. Brown is fighting it off but Thai persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brown's guard against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown trying to keep a closed guard but Thai is proving a slippery customer.
Thai drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Thai jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brown uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Thai looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Brown gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Still in the clinch, Brown scores with a nice short uppercut. Thai wants the takedown. Brown is fighting it off but Thai persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Brown's guard against the cage. Brown keeping full guard, as Thai tries to pass. Brown controlling Thai's posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thai advances position into side control! Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Brown is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Thai off and has taken his back! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brown is trying to stick to Thai's back but Thai is turning into Brown. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Brown's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Thai. Brown has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Thai wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position. Thai is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Brown pulls Thai in to control the position. Brown looking to hit a scissor sweep but Thai is one step ahead there. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
AJ Brown dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Thai fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Brown to the ground. Thai is now in Brown's guard. Thai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brown swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brown has control of Thai's left arm, preventing Thai from doing any damage. Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Thai is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown pulls Thai in close to prevent any damage. Brown not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thai tries to free his leg and advance position but Brown is retaining full guard. Brown is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Brown bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Thai's guard.
Thai has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brown is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Thai. Brown decides to stand back up. Thai darts in looking for a takedown but Brown gets double underhooks and turns Thai into the cage. Thai changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Brown fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brown tries to sprawl but Thai drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown is trying to get back to full guard. Thai is looking for a kimura here.
Thai seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Brown is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
