Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Hightower (ranked 94 p4p, 194 weight class) and Pedro Fuentes (ranked 14 p4p, 25 weight class). Hightower comes into the arena with The Power blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jason Hightower!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 39 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Fuentes!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hightower misses with a lunging right hand
and Fuentes counters with an inside leg kick.
Hightower misses with a body shot.
Fuentes appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Fuentes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Fuentes moves out of range as Hightower strikes.

The fighters circle momentarily. Hightower darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Pedro Fuentes's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Hightower dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Fuentes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hightower throws a poor cross that misses
and Fuentes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hightower falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fuentes counters with a nice right hand that sends Hightower toppling to the canvas! Hightower scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Fuentes finish him?!

It looks like Jason Hightower has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fuentes was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Fuentes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
It seemed like Fuentes was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Hightower swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hightower throws a shot from downtown. Fuentes moves away and avoids it.
Hightower misses with a left hand
and Fuentes counters with a stiff right hand.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Fuentes might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Hightower has got the better of the exchanges.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Jason Hightower will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
