Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Gage (ranked 1164 p4p, 891 weight class) and Macka Briggs (ranked 40 p4p, 33 weight class). Briggs is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Stepping Razor by Peter Tosh. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Gage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Macka Briggs!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Briggs is fending him off so far but Gage persists. Nope, Briggs circles away and we're back to standing.
Gage misses with a wild body shot.
Briggs darts in and clinches Gage up against the cage.
Gage has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Briggs avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gage is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Gage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gage gets control of Briggs's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gage will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Briggs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gage is tightening it up a little... Briggs has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Briggs reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Briggs taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gage!
