Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fotos Hasapis (ranked 284 p4p, 408 weight class) and Levi Daan (ranked 38 p4p, 54 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Fotos Hasapis has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Fotos Hasapis seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hasapis fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Daan sprawls well initially but Hasapis persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Daan has one foot on Hasapis's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Daan throws a hook but Hasapis blocks it.
Daan gets caught flat footed, as Hasapis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Hasapis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hasapis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Daan stacks Hasapis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Daan!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
