Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demetrius Jackson (ranked 1329 p4p, 1980 weight class) and Malcolm King (ranked 177 p4p, 250 weight class). King has chosen YoungBoy Never Broke Again – White Teeth as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
King throws a shot from downtown. Jackson moves away and avoids it.
Jackson pivots, looking for a leg kick but King is out of range and Jackson settles back down.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jackson.

King lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

King has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

King lands with a kick to the temple. Jackson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away.

King lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
King throws a right hand that Jackson ducks under and follows up with a left that Jackson also avoids with ease.

King tries to land a front kick but Jackson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jackson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on King. That did some damage!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Jackson backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks King's temple! It sends King violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Jackson celebrates and the doctors try to help King!
