Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danyaal Zahedi (ranked 17 p4p, 78 weight class) and Mauro Okongwu (ranked 2 p4p, 14 weight class). Okongwu has chosen Show Stop - REASON as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Danyaal Zahedi has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Danyaal Zahedi seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mauro Okongwu!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okongwu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Okongwu lands a front kick.
Zahedi throws a lazy uppercut
and Okongwu counters with a straight right hand.
Okongwu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zahedi swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Okongwu wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Okongwu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zahedi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And Zahedi counters with a quick kick to the body but Okongwu blocks it.
Okongwu on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Okongwu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zahedi was well out of range. Poor timing from Okongwu.
It appears Zahedi was looking to counter with a kick there.
Okongwu lands with a straight right. Zahedi didn't see that one coming.
Zahedi swats away the attempt to clinch by Okongwu.
Zahedi throws a big counter combination but Okongwu scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Zahedi misses with a looping right.
Zahedi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Okongwu can pounce on him.
Okongwu defending well as Zahedi loads up on a big left hand.
Zahedi throws a poor cross that misses
and Okongwu counters with a stiff right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Okongwu lands the left hand.
Zahedi looks to land a left hand but Okongwu moved out of range nicely.
Zahedi is looking to clinch but Okongwu is avoiding it.
Okongwu tries a quick counter leg kick but Zahedi is wise to it.
Okongwu sizes up Zahedi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Zahedi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Zahedi misses with a right hand
and Okongwu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zahedi connects with a looping right hand.
It looks like Mauro Okongwu has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zahedi missing with a left hand there. Okongwu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Okongwu tries a quick counter leg kick but Zahedi is wise to it.
Zahedi lands a big uppercut and Okongwu crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Okongwu looks OK. Zahedi waves Okongwu back to his feet!
Zahedi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Zahedi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Zahedi takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Okongwu has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Okongwu misses with a body punch
and Zahedi counters with a crisp right that sends Okongwu to the canvas! Zahedi follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danyaal Zahedi!

A very excited looking Danyaal Zahedi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
