Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Beta Tua (ranked 21593 p4p, 1402 weight class) and Azor Ahai (ranked 506 p4p, 178 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beta Tua!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 22 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Azor Ahai!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tua looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Tua throws a jab but it's blocked by Ahai.
Ahai connects with a right hand. Tua shakes it off.
Tua lands with a nice body punch.
Ahai misses the shot to the body.
Ahai getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahai jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Ahai bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A jab from Ahai misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ahai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tua sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ahai closes the distance and clinches.
Ahai scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Tua breaks the clinch.
Ahai throws the kick towards the body but Tua avoids it.
Tua connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ahai slips a jab from Tua.
Ahai throws out a counter right but Tua avoids it with no problem.
Ahai tries to close the distance and clinch but Tua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tua swings for the body but Ahai moves out of range.
It seemed like Ahai was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ahai forces Tua back against the cage and clinches.
Tua blocks an uppercut.
Ahai throws a head punch that misses.
Ahai lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tua backwards.
Ahai throws a punch but it's blocked by Tua.
Tua tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ahai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tua blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ahai misses with a hook from the clinch.
Ahai working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Ahai misses with a body punch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ahai.
Tua is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
A head punch on the inside from Ahai fails to land.
Ahai managing to block the knees to the body from Tua.
Ahai scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Tua breaks from the clinch.

Ahai has closed the distance and engaged Tua in a clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Azor Ahai dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ahai moves out of range as Tua throws a body kick.
Ahai wants to counter the offense by Tua and move into the clinch position.
Ahai throws a chopping leg kick but Tua manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Tua swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Ahai buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tua's jab looks to have found its range, popping Ahai under the eye.

Ahai walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Tua rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Ahai has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.

Ahai is rocked!
Beta Tua is winning the standup battle so far.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Look low, kick high! Tua uses the oldest trick in the book to send Ahai tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Tua is absolutely delighted - when Ahai wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Beta Tua!
Beta Tua retains his light heavyweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Beta Tua thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
