The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veto throws a jab but it's blocked by Collins.
Collins ducks under a wild hook from Veto.
Collins lunges at Veto with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Veto's hand.
Veto throws the left hand but Collins avoids the punch easily.
Collins feinted with a counter takedown.
Collins lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Veto scores with a decent looking hook.
Veto throws a leg kick that is checked

and Collins counters with a single leg into guard. Veto didn't expect that.
Veto keeping full guard, as Collins tries to pass.
Veto wants to stand but Collins is controlling the position.
Veto looking for a sweep. Not yet Veto, not yet.

Collins drops back, looking for a kneebar! Veto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Veto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Veto!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Collins is looking for a sweep.

Veto passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Collins!
Collins tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Veto wants to control the pace but Collins is squirming around nicely.
Collins is trying desperately to improve position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Collins slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Collins is trying to get back to full guard.
Veto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Collins keeps working.
Collins works his way to full guard. Good work.
Collins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Veto wants to get up but he can't break Collins's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Collins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Veto controls the pace.

Collins is looking to cinch up a triangle. Veto throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Collins's body to avoid the submission. Collins has instead reached around Veto's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Collins arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
