Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Cristóforo Carretero (ranked 3873 p4p, 624 weight class) and Ngozi Chai (ranked 419 p4p, 83 weight class). Carretero comes to the cage accompanied by Sun by DVRKHOLD. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carretero thows a left - swing and a miss!
Carretero misses with a kick to the body.
Chai takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Carretero misses the jab.
Chai now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Chai misses with a two punch combination.
Chai defending well as Carretero loads up on a big left hand.
Chai staying out of range there.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carretero, as that shot connected.
Carretero throws a hook but Chai blocks it.
Carretero wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carretero scores with a sloppy right hand. Chai should have avoided that one.
Carretero clinches up with Chai and pushes him back against the cage.

Chai lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Carretero stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Chai can't find room to land a body shot as Carretero controls the action.
Carretero tries a body shot but Chai blocks it.
Chai escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chai takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Chai seems to have recovered his senses.
Chai goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Cristóforo Carretero has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Carretero misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Good work by Chai as he checks the leg kick.

Carretero looks to land a left hand but Chai moved out of range nicely.

and Chai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cristóforo Carretero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Carretero counters with a low kick, right behind Chai 's knee.
Chai throws a jab when Carretero was well out of range.
Chai connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Carretero's hands.
Carretero misses with a hook
and Chai makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Chai pivots, looking for a leg kick but Carretero is out of range and Chai settles back down.
Chai is looking to land body kicks.
Chai slips a jab from Carretero.

Chai moves out of range as Carretero strikes.
Carretero throws a sloppy head kick
and Chai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chai moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cristóforo Carretero will probably get the nod.

Oh Carretero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Chai lands a right and a left and another right! Carretero goes down! Oh, he's in big, big trouble! 3,4,5,6,7,8... he's up to one knee... 9,10! He can't beat the count - this one is all over!
