Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Derrick Bradley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Spencer!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Spencer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A little feinted left hand from Bradley on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Bradley avoids the head kick by Spencer.
Bradley is looking to counter punch.
Spencer looks to land a left hand but Bradley moved out of range nicely.
Bradley tries to counter by clinching up but Spencer breaks away and moves out of range.

and Bradley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

I was talking to Bradley's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Spencer can't find room to land a body shot as Bradley controls the action.
Spencer lands with a light punch inside.

Bradley tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bradley blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bradley misses with a hook to the ribs.

Spencer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Bradley lands a big right hand that sends Spencer crashing to the mat! Bradley stays standing though and waves Spencer back to his feet!

Bradley digs a good hook to Spencer's body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bradley. Spencer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Spencer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Bradley lands a big head kick that sends Spencer tumbling to the mat! Bradley takes a step backwards and waves Spencer back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Spencer walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Spencer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Spencer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bradley darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Bradley drops Spencer with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Spencer looks back up at him and smiles so Bradley waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Spencer is still on wobbly legs! Can Bradley finish him?
Bradley has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Spencer bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Bradley comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Spencer falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Spencer was out before he hit the floor!
