Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Javier Martinez (ranked 690 p4p, 3016 weight class) and Dan Averescu (ranked 87 p4p, 339 weight class). Averescu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Averescu.
Martinez pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Martinez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Averescu.
Averescu looks to land a left hand but Martinez moved out of range nicely.

Averescu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Dan Averescu has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Averescu! But no joy.
Martinez looks to land a left hand but Averescu moved out of range nicely.
Martinez has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ironbound MMA in the buildup to the fight.
The crowd cheers as Martinez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Averescu doesn't seem phased though.
Martinez drops Averescu with a big left hand! Averescu is injured, injured bad! Martinez jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Javier Martinez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
