PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olyn Seran (ranked 36 p4p, 220 weight class) and Satanic Panic (ranked 5 p4p, 29 weight class). Seran comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Silence - Disturbed. Panic has chosen Freezing Moon as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seran lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Panic throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Panic slips under a jab.
Panic paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Panic takes a swing at Seran's ribcage but misses.
Satanic Panic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Seran dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Seran slips under a jab from Panic.
Panic moves forwards but Seran connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Seran throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Panic tries to counter with a clinch but Seran shakes him off and moves away.

Seran dives in and scores a takedown into Panic's guard.
Seran stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Panic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Seran passes into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Seran is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Panic still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Panic has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Olyn Seran will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Seran is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Panic's half guard.
Panic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Panic.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Panic is on top in guard.

Seran isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Panic stacks Seran on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Panic!

Seran is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Seran wants to escape the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Panic trying to control.
Seran tries to roll but Panic sticks to his back.

What can Seran do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Satanic Panic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Seran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Panic loads up on a big right hand but Seran slips the punch.

Panic is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Panic is controlling Seran's trapped leg to prevent Seran from advancing to side control.

Seran is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Panic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Panic.
Seran is looking to advance position but Panic has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Seran breaks Panic's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Seran has gone for a leg lock! Panic slips out almost immediately though and dives into Seran's guard.

Seran has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Panic is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Seran.

Panic is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Seran is in real trouble.
Panic has the hooks in. Seran is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Seran tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Panic is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Seran is defending well though. Panic let's go of the attempt for now.

Panic is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Seran.

Panic throws a low kick, looking for Seran's leg but Seran calmly moves out of range.
Seran steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Panic.

and Seran counters with a single leg into guard. Panic didn't expect that.
Seran wants to pass the guard but Panic is keeping the position.

Seran drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Panic manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Seran has Panic in his guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Panic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well Panic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Satanic Panic made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
