The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Thomas .
Knell has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym To Nica in the buildup to the fight.
Thomas throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Knell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Knell throws a sloppy head kick and Thomas moves out of range easily.
Thomas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thomas throws out a counter right but Knell avoids it with no problem.
Thomas keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Death Knell has been cut.
Knell takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

It looks like Derrick Thomas has been cut.
Thomas takes a jab right on the kisser.
Knell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Thomas momentarily.
Knell slips a straight right by Thomas .
Knell cracks Thomas with an open hand slap.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Knell lands a big uppercut and Thomas crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Thomas looks OK. Knell waves Thomas back to his feet!

Thomas is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Knell doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Thomas crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Thomas 's bad books for that mishap!
