Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Fisher (ranked 265 p4p, 211 weight class) and Nakachi Tadageru (ranked 31 p4p, 25 weight class). Nakachi Tadageru has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, John Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nakachi Tadageru!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tadageru has closed the distance and engaged Fisher in a clinch.
Fisher lands a nice uppercut.
Fisher makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Tadageru is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Tadageru is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Fisher can't fight it off and eventually Tadageru manages to take the fight to the floor. Fisher looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tadageru lands a couple of good shots and Fisher has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tadageru looking to break Fisher's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Fisher remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Tadageru will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Tadageru manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fisher manages to get himself to full guard.

Fisher parries the strikes from Tadageru easily there. Tadageru is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Fisher to escape.

Tadageru is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Fisher has escaped the position, nice work there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A slow jab from Fisher misses its intended target.
Tadageru tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

and Fisher counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fisher takes a swing at Tadageru's ribcage but misses.
Fisher looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tadageru misses with a looping left.
Tadageru uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fisher.
And Tadageru tries to counter it with a takedown but Fisher pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Fisher ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tadageru moves away.

Tadageru has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tadageru is working for takedown but Fisher is calmly controlling the position for now.

Nakachi Tadageru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Fisher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Tadageru fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fisher sprawls well initially but Tadageru persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tadageru slips a nice elbow through Fisher's hands, connecting with Fisher's forehead.

Tadageru looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fisher with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A very excited looking Nakachi Tadageru made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
