Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jardani Jovonovich (ranked 205 p4p, 236 weight class) and Luke Ridley (ranked 32 p4p, 41 weight class). Ridley has chosen No Shelter/ Rage Against The Machine as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jardani Jovonovich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Ridley! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Jovonovich misses the target. Jovonovich has taken the fight to the clinch.

Luke Ridley dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jardani Jovonovich's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ridley misses with a looping left. Ridley has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jovonovich closes the distance and clinches. Ridley misses with some punches.
Ridley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ridley needs to keep his hands up - Jovonovich had a free shot at his head there. Ridley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Jovonovich closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ridley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ridley avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jovonovich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ridley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. My spies in Roosters Coop inform me that Ridley has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Jovonovich has his foot on Ridley's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ridley works his way back into a safe position though. Ridley works a leg free and moves into half guard. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Jardani Jovonovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jovonovich tries to close the distance and clinch but Ridley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jovonovich tries to clinch but Ridley moves out of range. A frustrated look appears on Ridley's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Jovonovich tries to clinch but Ridley moves out of range. Ridley swats away the attempt to clinch by Jovonovich. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jovonovich wants to clinch up but Ridley keeps it at a distance. A little jabbing left from Ridley on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Ridley throws a jab but it's blocked by Jovonovich. Ridley throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Ridley misses with a looping right. Ridley circles away from the clinch attempt.

Luke Ridley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Jardani Jovonovich's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Jovonovich tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ridley paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jardani Jovonovich has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ridley connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jovonovich's hands. Some wild striking there from Ridley.
Luke Ridley seems to be getting the better of the standup. Jovonovich tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ridley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ridley tries to keep at a distance but Jovonovich has taken the fight into the clinch. Ridley tries to break free but Jovonovich pushes him back against the cage. Jovonovich is trying to pull guard but Ridley has him pressed against the cage. Ridley lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Jovonovich tries to pull guard but Ridley holds him up against the cage and eventually Jovonovich drops back down to his feet.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Jovonovich jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ridley walks away with a smile on his face. Jovonovich gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jovonovich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ridley cracks Jovonovich with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Ridley swings for the body but Jovonovich moves out of range.
Ridley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Ridley misses with a looping left. Ridley scores with a shot to the body.
Ridley works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Jovonovich dodges the punch combination from Ridley.
Jovonovich tries to clinch but Ridley is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jovonovich looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ridley! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jovonovich trying to control the action but Ridley is working from the bottom. Jovonovich tries to advance to mount but Ridley denies him. Jovonovich is looking to take a break and control but Ridley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ridley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ridley is trying to improve his position. Jovonovich wants to control but Ridley is keeping him busy. Jovonovich tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jovonovich wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ridley, who protects the arm well. Jovonovich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ridley keeps working. Jovonovich will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ridley can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jovonovich swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Ridley throws out a counter right but Jovonovich avoids it with no problem. Jovonovich on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jovonovich walks into a straight right hand from Ridley. Luke Ridley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jovonovich missing with a left hand there. Ridley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Ridley comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Ridley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
