Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arax Lightspeed (ranked 1214 p4p, 744 weight class) and Svalbard Haudegen (ranked 124 p4p, 82 weight class). Lightspeed comes to the cage accompanied by Silver Scrapes - Danny McCarthy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Arax Lightspeed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Svalbard Haudegen!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lightspeed closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Haudegen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Haudegen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Haudegen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Lightspeed tries to escape but Haudegen has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lightspeed is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Haudegen gets his way!
Well, with Haudegen on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Lightspeed is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Haudegen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lightspeed to the mat! Lightspeed manages to get full guard.
Lightspeed is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Haudegen dives into side control.
Lightspeed tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Haudegen wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
