Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Axton Burgess (ranked 171 p4p, 1041 weight class) and Nick Albodean (ranked 20 p4p, 129 weight class). Burgess comes to the cage accompanied by I Can Only Count to Four. Albodean has chosen I ain't worried - One Republic as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albodean misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Burgess throws a counter high kick but Albodean was just alert enough to avoid it.
Albodean tries to work over Burgess's front leg with a kick but Burgess checks it.
Albodean avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nick Albodean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Albodean misses with a takedown attempt
and Burgess counters with a nice uppercut.

Burgess swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

We've been told by Burgess's head coaches at FIGHT FOUNDERS (CA) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Burgess looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Axton Burgess has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Albodean.

Burgess uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Albodean.

and Burgess counters with a nice right hand that sends Albodean toppling to the canvas! Albodean scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Burgess finish him?!

Burgess fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Albodean out cold! Brutal finish!

A relieved looking Axton Burgess thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
