Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jakob Rolf (ranked 234 p4p, 844 weight class) and Ola Badmus (ranked 37 p4p, 120 weight class). Rolf comes to the cage accompanied by AVGN Theme Song. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Ola Badmus enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jakob Rolf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ola Badmus! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rolf lands a jab-cross combination. Rolf scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rolf tries to move to mount but Badmus blocks the move with his legs. Badmus tries to improve position but can't. Rolf tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Badmus is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rolf tries to advance to mount but can't. Rolf thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rolf advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rolf trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rolf is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Badmus is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Badmus is looking to get to half guard. Rolf working for a submission but Badmus is keeping him at bay. Badmus tries to hold on but Rolf pushes him away. Rolf wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Rolf controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rolf trying to control but Badmus is having none of it. Badmus is desperately trying to improve his position but Rolf has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Badmus is controlling an arm, preventing Rolf from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Rolf is working for a guillotine from mount but Badmus frees his head quite easily.
Rolf works his way to his opponent's back.
Badmus is trying to get back to his feet but Rolf has full control of the position and if anything, Badmus has just worked his way into a worse spot. Rolf patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Rolf is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rolf tries to keep control of the position but Badmus is staying busy. Badmus wants to get back to his feet. Badmus prevents Rolf from getting a body triangle. Badmus is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rolf gets his way!
Rolf is cranking Badmus's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Badmus! He's tightened the choke and Badmus is tapping out!
