Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jorgen Kruth (ranked 123 p4p, 418 weight class) and Pornthonglek Sitsongrit (ranked 12 p4p, 39 weight class). Kruth kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pornthonglek Sitsongrit!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruth misses with a takedown attempt
and Sitsongrit counters with a nice uppercut.
Sitsongrit loads up on a big right hand but Kruth slips the punch.
Sitsongrit throws a leg kick which misses Kruth's front leg but catches the back leg as Kruth tries to avoid it.
Kruth is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sitsongrit sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kruth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sitsongrit is fending him off so far but Kruth persists. Nope, Sitsongrit circles away and we're back to standing.

Kruth goes for a takedown attempt but Sitsongrit pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kruth closes the distance and clinches up with Sitsongrit, looking for a takedown. Kruth pushes Sitsongrit against the cage but Sitsongrit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Kruth takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kruth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sitsongrit tries to avoid it but Kruth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sitsongrit to the ground. Sitsongrit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sitsongrit is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kruth.
Kruth shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sitsongrit but Sitsongrit pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Sitsongrit counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sitsongrit lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kruth tries for a takedown but Sitsongrit sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Sitsongrit misses.
Kruth takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Sitsongrit connects with a right hand. Kruth shakes it off.

Sitsongrit slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kruth is rocked!
Kruth shoots in looking for a takedown but Sitsongrit manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kruth's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pornthonglek Sitsongrit is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kruth shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sitsongrit sprawls well. Sitsongrit wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kruth gets slowly back to his feet.

Sitsongrit punishes Kruth's body with a nice straight punch.
Sitsongrit throws a good cross that connects.
Kruth takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kruth has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kruth there as he acknowledges the shot.
Oh Kruth is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sitsongrit cracks Kruth with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kruth looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Sitsongrit finish him?
Sitsongrit with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Sitsongrit is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kruth had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Sitsongrit fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kruth looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kruth seems to have got his legs back now.

and Sitsongrit counters with a crisp right hand that drops Kruth! Sitsongrit lets Kruth back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

and Sitsongrit rattles Kruth with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Kruth tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Sitsongrit dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Kruth stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Pornthonglek Sitsongrit!
In his post fight interview, Pornthonglek Sitsongrit started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
