Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Blank (ranked 542 p4p, 507 weight class) and Pedro Fuentes (ranked 72 p4p, 71 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Blank!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Fuentes!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuentes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Fuentes walks into a stiff left hand from Blank.
Fuentes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blank.
Fuentes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Blank jabs at Fuentes's body.
A shot to the body from Blank misses
and Fuentes counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Blank seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Blank pulls Fuentes in close to his closed guard and prevents Fuentes from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blank has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fuentes seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fuentes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Blank has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fuentes has managed to get both his arms back between Blank's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blank is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fuentes defends well.
Blank will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Blank bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fuentes's guard.

Fuentes wants to sweep but no luck.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Billy Blank will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Pedro Fuentes's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Fuentes is looking to stall here but Blank recovers full guard.
Blank is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blank has his foot on Fuentes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fuentes works his way back into a safe position though.

Oh but Blank is tightening it up a little... Fuentes has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Fuentes reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Fuentes taps out! Nice BJJ there by Blank!
