Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Furioto (ranked 629 p4p, 524 weight class) and Stan Man (ranked 45 p4p, 33 weight class). Furioto comes into the arena with 韻踏合組合 - blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 38 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maximus Furioto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 16 - 2, fighting out of London, Stan Man!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Man fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Furioto to the ground. Man is now in Furioto's guard.

Man pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Furioto is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man with a flurry of punches that miss.
Furioto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Man working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Man tries to stand but Furioto is controlling from the bottom.
Man in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Man forces his way into half guard.
Man thows a huge punch but Furioto dodges it nicely.
Man lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Man connects with a nice short shot to Furioto's temple.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Man trying to control from half guard but Furioto is working away.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Man lands a nice short elbow.

Furioto looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Man is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Man seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Furioto does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Furioto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Man misses with a head shot. Furioto uses the momentum to regain guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man postures up in Furioto's guard and throws a big left but Furioto blocks it.

Man drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Furioto manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Man has Furioto in his guard.

Furioto slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Man tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Furioto in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Man is trying to get back to his feet.
Man is looking to reverse the position.
Man is trying to control Furioto's posture but Furioto avoids it.

Furioto is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Man has escaped the position, nice work there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Furioto tries for a kimura but Man is defending well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Stan Man dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Man shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Man showed some decent athleticism there.
Nice strikes from Man there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Man is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Man landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Man throwing shots but Furioto is blocking nicely.
Man thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Furioto's head.

Man wants to work for an arm triangle but Furioto is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Man is thwarting Furioto's attempts to control the position.

Furioto is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Man pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Man is nestled in close to Furioto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Man drops an elbow to the side of Furioto's head.
Furioto keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Furioto actively working from the bottom here.
Furioto trying to control here.
Furioto wants to improve his position but Man is controlling well.
Man has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Man works his way into full mount!
Man scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Furioto?
Furioto is in all sorts of trouble here.
Furioto takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Man lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Furioto is trying to escape the mount.
Furioto is squirming around, avoiding Man's attempts to control the action.

Furioto tries to reverse the position but Man maintains control.

Furioto wants to control but Man is having none of it.
Stan Man has got the better of the ground game so far.
Man with shots to the head and body - Furioto looks very uncomfortable down there.

Furioto is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oh Furioto is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Man lands a big elbow - Furioto is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Furioto is forced to tap out!

Stan Man thanked the fans post fight for their support.
Maximus Furioto spoke after the fight, saying 'oohhh!nooooo!'.
