Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takeda Shida (ranked 43 p4p, 248 weight class) and Gothic Line (ranked 6 p4p, 33 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeda Shida! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 41 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gothic Line! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Line with a body punch. A glancing blow. Line throws a lazy uppercut
and Shida cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Shida slips a straight right by Line. Line takes a shot right to the bread basket. Line throws a body punch but Shida moves out of range. Shida swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Line drops his hands momentarily and Shida takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Line uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shida.
Shida connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Line momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Line uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shida. Line's corner calls for a 1-2. Line obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Line closes the distance looking to clinch and Line takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Shida goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Line throws out a counter right but Shida avoids it with no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shida blocks a jab. Shida swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Line throws a sloppy head kick and Shida moves out of range easily. Shida swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Shida looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Shida takes a swing at Line's ribcage but misses. Line let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Line throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Shida misses the jab. Shida avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shida lands a big head kick that sends Line tumbling to the mat! Shida takes a step backwards and waves Line back to his feet - he wants the finish! Line checks a leg kick nicely. Line uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shida. Line doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Shida lands a big uppercut and Line crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Line looks OK. Shida waves Line back to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shida avoids the body shot from Line.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shida misses with a kick to the body and Shida takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Line keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shida lands a nice shot that snaps Line's head back.
Line throws a looping overhand right but Shida ducks down to avoid it. Line uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Shida. Line rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Shida counters with a nice kick to the body. Shida throws a jab but it's blocked by Line. Line looks like he wants to counter punch here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Takeda Shida dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! A lazy left from Shida finds it's target. Shida lands with an overhand left. Shida lands a nice looking kick to the body. Line takes a step back to recover. Shida throws a good cross that connects.

and Shida counters with a good low kick that Line was not able to check. Shida darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shida lands a really nice looking cross but Line seems unphased.
Line misses with an uppercut. Shida saw that one coming. Shida throwing a counter right hand but Line manages to avoid it. Line throws a hook but Shida blocks it. An attempted straight right counter from Shida misses the target. Shida sizes up Line with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Line throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Line uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shida.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shida throws a body shot but no joy. Line shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Shida takes a swing at Line's ribcage but misses. Line swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Shida throws a head kick that misses. Shida lands with an uppercut that bounces Line off the cage and back into range. Line moves out of range of the body kick from Shida.
It seemed like Line was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Shida gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shida drops Line with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Line looks back up at him and smiles so Shida waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Line is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shida throws a series of punches but Line avoids them all with ease. Line looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Shida closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Line! Shida dives in looking to finish! Line is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeda Shida! Takeda Shida seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
