Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladamir Fedetenko (ranked 139 p4p, 634 weight class) and Essien Ekuoba (ranked 11 p4p, 45 weight class). Ekuoba has chosen Pure Water as his entrance music. Vladamir Fedetenko has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vladamir Fedetenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Essien Ekuoba! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ekuoba misses with a right hand and Fedetenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Essien Ekuoba has been cut. Ekuoba scores with a one two! Fedetenko had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Vladamir Fedetenko has been cut. Ekuoba misses with a straight left. Fedetenko was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Fedetenko misses with a body shot.
Fedetenko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fedetenko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Fedetenko uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ekuoba. Ekuoba misses with a hook
and Fedetenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Fedetenko smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ekuoba lands with an uppercut that bounces Fedetenko off the cage and back into range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ekuoba misses with a hook. Fedetenko tries to counter by clinching up but Ekuoba breaks away and moves out of range. Fedetenko slips under a jab from Ekuoba. An attempted straight right counter from Fedetenko misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ekuoba misses with a left hand and Fedetenko counters with a straight right hand. Fedetenko moves away from the strike by Ekuoba. Fedetenko swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Fedetenko scores with a nice strike. Ekuoba throws an off balance right hand
and Fedetenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That has opened up Essien Ekuoba's cut even more. Ekuoba will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fedetenko is looking to counter the offense by Ekuoba and move into the clinch. Ekuoba throws a hook to the side of Fedetenko's head but Fedetenko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ekuoba is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Ekuoba loads up on a big right hand but Fedetenko slips the punch. Fedetenko wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Fedetenko ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Fedetenko is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Ekuoba lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Fedetenko cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ekuoba throws a hook to the side of Fedetenko's head but Fedetenko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fedetenko tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Ekuoba manages to circle out of the way. Ekuoba has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Ekuoba rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Fedetenko counters with a nice uppercut.
The cut above Essien Ekuoba's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Ekuoba falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fedetenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fedetenko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ekuoba throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fedetenko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Essien Ekuoba's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Fedetenko is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Ekuoba loads up on a big right hand but Fedetenko slips the punch. Fedetenko throwing a counter right hand but Ekuoba manages to avoid it. Fedetenko moves into range and clinches up with Ekuoba. Fedetenko tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ekuoba's elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ekuoba manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Fedetenko blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ekuoba swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A right hook to the body lands for Ekuoba.
Ekuoba is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Fedetenko tries to land a knee to the head but Ekuoba blocks with his arms.
Ekuoba has Fedetenko pushed against the cage. Fedetenko lands a shoulder strike. A shot in the inside from Fedetenko.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Essien Ekuoba's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Vladamir Fedetenko! A very excited looking Vladamir Fedetenko made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
