Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 39 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mustafa Erdogan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Levi Daan!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daan ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Daan throws a nice inside leg kick.
Daan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Erdogan's head.
Erdogan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Daan.
Erdogan has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Daan cracks a nice hook into Erdogan's ribs.
Daan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Levi Daan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Erdogan misses with a looping left.
Daan connects with an inside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Daan throws a lazy uppercut
and Erdogan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Daan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Erdogan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Erdogan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Erdogan lands the left hand.

Daan throws out a loose jab but Erdogan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Erdogan is looking to counter punch.
Daan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Erdogan lands a left and a right that send Daan crashing to the mat, dazed. Erdogan thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Daan is rocked!
Daan's corner calls for a 1-2. Daan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Daan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Erdogan momentarily.
Jab, jab by Daan - just one landing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Erdogan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Daan throws a leg kick which misses Erdogan's front leg but catches the back leg as Erdogan tries to avoid it.
Erdogan thuds his right hand into Daan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Erdogan swings away with a body shot that misses
and Daan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Daan misses with a right hand
and Erdogan counters with a body kick that stops Daan in his tracks momentarily.
A big left from Daan misses.
Erdogan throwing a counter right hand but Daan manages to avoid it.
Daan is looking to land body kicks.
Erdogan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A jab from Daan misses.
Erdogan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Daan.
Daan explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Erdogan sizes up Daan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Daan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Erdogan throws out the jab.
Daan thows a leg kick but Erdogan checks it
and Erdogan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Daan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Erdogan blocks a leg kick.
Daan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Erdogan counter with a right hand.
Daan is still on wobbly legs! Can Erdogan finish him?
Daan misses with a hook
and Erdogan rattles Daan with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Daan tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Erdogan dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Daan stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mustafa Erdogan!
