Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sean O Malley (ranked 84 p4p, 272 weight class) and Katsu Yamasaki (ranked 9 p4p, 28 weight class). O Malley comes to the cage accompanied by Goat Talk- Sugar Sean. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean O Malley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsu Yamasaki!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamasaki takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
O Malley feints a jab promting Yamasaki to slip. O Malley then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Yamasaki slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
O Malley misses with a body shot.
A swing and a miss from O Malley.
O Malley with a body punch. A glancing blow.
O Malley connects with the punch.
O Malley looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Yamasaki doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Yamasaki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from O Malley.
O Malley fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yamasaki has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
O Malley with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
O Malley tries to land a leg kick but Yamasaki saw it coming and moves away.
O Malley throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Yamasaki counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Yamasaki tries to free his leg and advance position but O Malley is retaining full guard.

O Malley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Yamasaki is controlling him.
Yamasaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. O Malley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
O Malley wants to stand but Yamasaki is controlling the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
O Malley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yamasaki has time to react.
O Malley misses with a looping right.
Yamasaki drops down looking to force a counter takedown but O Malley defends it well.
O Malley throws a right hand that misses
and Yamasaki counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Yamasaki drops back, looking for a kneebar! O Malley looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. O Malley looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from O Malley!

Yamasaki is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
O Malley tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
O Malley decides to take the fight back to the feet.
O Malley pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
O Malley lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
O Malley misses with an uppercut.
A jab lands there for O Malley.
Yamasaki staying out of range there.
Yamasaki is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
O Malley attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
O Malley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Yamasaki moves out of range as O Malley strikes.
O Malley misses with a low kick.
O Malley throws a hook but Yamasaki blocks it.
O Malley rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Yamasaki counters with a single leg into guard. O Malley didn't expect that.
Yamasaki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. O Malley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

O Malley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Yamasaki dives in for a single leg takedown but O Malley sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
O Malley misses with a jab, cross combination.
Yamasaki defending well as O Malley loads up on a big left hand.
O Malley ducks under a wild hook from Yamasaki.
O Malley throws a body punch but Yamasaki moves out of range.
Yamasaki feints the counter takedown.
O Malley just misses with a punch to the body.
And Yamasaki tries to counter it with a takedown but O Malley pushes his down on his head and steps out.
O Malley throws the left hand but Yamasaki avoids the punch easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Yamasaki ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Yamasaki feints the counter takedown.
O Malley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
O Malley throws a looping overhand right but Yamasaki ducks down to avoid it.
Yamasaki tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
O Malley is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yamasaki.

And Yamasaki tries to counter it with a takedown but O Malley pushes his down on his head and steps out.
O Malley misses the shot to the body.
O Malley pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Yamasaki looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Yamasaki moves out of range of the strikes.
O Malley misses with a left hand
and Yamasaki counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yamasaki.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yamasaki passes easily into side control. Nice work.
An elbow from Yamasaki crashes against the mat.

Yamasaki is trying to get an arm triangle but O Malley is defending well.
Yamasaki trying to control the action but O Malley is working from the bottom.
O Malley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
O Malley tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

O Malley is trying to escape the mount but Yamasaki keeps good control and instead manages to take O Malley's back.
O Malley is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Yamasaki gets his way!
Yamasaki working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Yamasaki is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Yamasaki looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. O Malley is controlling Yamasaki 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.
O Malley gets to his feet - Yamasaki follows without any prompting.

Katsu Yamasaki has got the better of the ground game so far.
O Malley wants to stand and escape but Yamasaki is having none of it.

O Malley can't keep his opponent in guard - Yamasaki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
O Malley tries to kick Yamasaki off but Yamasaki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
O Malley tries to kick Yamasaki off in order to stand up. Yamasaki Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Yamasaki creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!
O Malley parries the strikes from Yamasaki easily there. Yamasaki is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable O Malley to escape.

Yamasaki tries to move to full mount but O Malley actually manages to regain half guard.
Yamasaki passes to side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Yamasaki tries to advance position but instead O Malley slips a leg back in to half guard.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Katsu Yamasaki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
