Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lemuel Denver (ranked 281 p4p, 492 weight class) and Giro Inhanamoto (ranked 39 p4p, 69 weight class). Denver comes to the cage accompanied by Марш нової армії. Lemuel Denver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lemuel Denver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giro Inhanamoto! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Denver lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Denver scores with a jab. Denver looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Inhanamoto misses with the body kick and Denver counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Denver wants to control from the top but Inhanamoto keeps moving. Denver tries to free his leg and advance position but Inhanamoto is retaining full guard. Denver trying to control the position from guard on top but Inhanamoto is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Denver throwing strikes from guard but Inhanamoto blocks nicely. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Denver accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inhanamoto keeping moving, preventing Denver from controlling successfully. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Denver working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Inhanamoto seems keen to control Denver's posture.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Denver misses with a takedown and Inhanamoto counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Lemuel Denver has been cut. Denver loads up on a big right hand but Inhanamoto slips the punch. Inhanamoto gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Inhanamoto's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Denver connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Inhanamoto scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto just misses with a punch to the body.
Inhanamoto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Denver was well out of range. Poor timing from Inhanamoto. Denver lands a jab to Inhanamoto's midsection. Inhanamoto closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Denver misses with a shot to the body and Inhanamoto counters with a good, hard body kick but Denver shrugs it off. Denver keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Inhanamoto. Denver tries to counter with a takedown but Inhanamoto is quick to defend against it. Danga de danga de dang - Denver scores with a four punch combination! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Denver comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Denver throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto slips a jab from Denver. Denver shoots in for a takedown but Inhanamoto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A countering left hand to the body from Inhanamoto misses. Inhanamoto avoids the body shot from Denver.
Lemuel Denver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Denver shoots and misses and Inhanamoto counters with a right hand to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lemuel Denver. That's going to take a lot out of him. Denver changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Inhanamoto looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Denver is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Inhanamoto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Inhanamoto can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Denver is staying active. Denver remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Denver passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Inhanamoto! Denver is landing with some decent strikes but Inhanamoto is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. A nice elbow there by Denver. Denver has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! Inhanamoto blocking the ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Lemuel Denver dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lemuel Denver's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Denver lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Inhanamoto at a distance.
Denver drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Inhanamoto pushes Denver off and scrambles back to his feet.
Lemuel Denver is winning the standup battle so far. Denver scores with a takedown into Inhanamoto's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Inhanamoto looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Denver looking to sit in guard and control but Inhanamoto gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Denver isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Inhanamoto stacks Denver on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Inhanamoto! Denver being controlled for a moment. Denver tries to improve position but can't. Inhanamoto just content to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Denver struggling a bit here. Denver is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Denver is looking to improve his position.
Inhanamoto content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Denver tries to get to full guard but Inhanamoto has control of the leg. Denver looking for submissions off his back.

Denver is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Inhanamoto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Inhanamoto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Denver misses with a jab to the body
and Inhanamoto makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Denver is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Denver keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Inhanamoto. Denver misses with a straight left. Inhanamoto lands with a right hand. Inhanamoto uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Denver. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Inhanamoto! But no joy. Denver shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Denver fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Inhanamoto manages to avoid it. Inhanamoto lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Giro Inhanamoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Lemuel Denver's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Denver lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Inhanamoto at a distance.

Inhanamoto ducks right into an uppercut from Denver. Inhanamoto is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Denver. Inhanamoto walks into a left hand. That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Inhanamoto grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Inhanamoto breaks Denver's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Denver tries to land a sweep but no joy. Inhanamoto looking to pass the guard. Denver has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Inhanamoto is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Denver. Denver is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inhanamoto controlling the position from side mount. Let's hope that Inhanamoto has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. You can see the frustration on Denver's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lemuel Denver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Denver is trying to improve his position. Denver manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Denver is trying to maintain the position but Inhanamoto is very close to passing his half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Denver regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that's the end of the fight! Lemuel Denver showed his dominance in that final round. Well Denver has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
