Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Takeda Shida (ranked 31 p4p, 55 weight class) and Jason Hightower (ranked 3 p4p, 8 weight class). Hightower has chosen The Power as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeda Shida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 46 - 15 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jason Hightower!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hightower is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shida.
Shida throwing a counter right hand but Hightower manages to avoid it.
Hightower has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shida really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hightower fakes the leg kick and cracks Shida in the body.
Hightower lunges at Shida with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shida's hand.
Hightower swings widly with a right hand
and Shida connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Shida stalks Hightower and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hightower's face. Hightower staggers backwards, shaken.
Shida ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Shida was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hightower misses with a hook.
Shida ducks under a wild hook from Hightower.
Hightower looks to throw a body kick
and Shida counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hightower throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Shida feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hightower sprawling to the canvas! Hightower rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Shida finish him?!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hightower throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hightower is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Hightower loads up on a big right hand but Shida slips the punch.
Hightower throws a right hand that misses
and Shida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shida throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hightower sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hightower follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Shida digs a good hook to Hightower's body.
Hightower's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shida connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hightower scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hightower defending well as Shida loads up on a big left hand.
Shida lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Shida dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hightower takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A left lands for Shida.
Shida looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hightower throws a lazy uppercut
and Shida makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hightower ducks right into an uppercut from Shida.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hightower misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A little feinted left hand from Shida on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shida scores with a body shot.
Hightower looks winded!
The fighters circling - Hightower throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Jason Hightower seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hightower swings widly with a right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Hightower takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Shida swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hightower takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Shida lands with a right that hurts Hightower. Hightower looks to clinch but Shida throws a short knee that drops Hightower. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Takeda Shida!
A very excited looking Takeda Shida made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
