Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elrey Dorado (ranked 13 p4p, 86 weight class) and Spider Monkey (ranked 2 p4p, 15 weight class). Dorado's entrance music is MY STORY. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elrey Dorado!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spider Monkey!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dorado on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Monkey gets caught napping as Dorado dives in and scores a takedown. Monkey manages to retain guard.
Monkey is trying to hold Dorado in close to prevent damage but Dorado has managed to pass into half guard.
Monkey is not content to let Dorado control the position.
Dorado is taking a breather. Monkey says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well Dorado has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
