Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kawainui Perry (ranked 88 p4p, 433 weight class) and Nakagome Kakuzo (ranked 15 p4p, 63 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nakagome Kakuzo!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakuzo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Perry is fending him off so far but Kakuzo persists. Nope, Perry circles away and we're back to standing.
Kakuzo is looking to land body kicks.
Kakuzo lands a leg kick that knocks Perry off balance momentarily.
Perry moves away from the strike by Kakuzo.

The fighters are battling for position here. Kakuzo manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Perry throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kakuzo misses with a straight left.
Kakuzo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Perry fires out a quick counter leg kick but Kakuzo just manages to avoid it.
Kakuzo throws a good cross that connects.

Kakuzo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Perry is out of range.
Perry was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Perry throws a wild body kick that Kakuzo sees coming a mile off.

Perry lands a slapping body shot.
Perry cracks Kakuzo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kakuzo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Perry's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kakuzo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kakuzo stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Perry throws up his legs and catches Kakuzo in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Kakuzo tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Perry! That came out of nowhere!

During a confident post fight interview, Kawainui Perry thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
