Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Fuentes (ranked 1006 p4p, 275 weight class) and Santiago Santos (ranked 127 p4p, 34 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 41 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pedro Fuentes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Santos!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuentes gets a clinch.
Santos has had enough of the clinch but Fuentes keeps him there for the moment.
Santos breaks from the clinch.
Fuentes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santos's waist but Santos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fuentes off to one side.
Fuentes lands with a nice body punch.
Fuentes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Fuentes tries to close the distance and clinch but Santos swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Santos feints a counter leg kick.

and Santos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Santos drops Fuentes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fuentes looks back up at him and smiles so Santos waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Santos is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Fuentes stalling away here and it's allowed Santos to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Fuentes gets to his feet - Santos follows without any prompting.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fuentes.
Santos doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Fuentes dives in for a single leg takedown but Santos sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A countering left hand to the body from Santos misses.
Fuentes tries to score a body lock takedown but Santos shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Fuentes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Santos backwards.
Santos manages to break the clinch.
Fuentes shoots for a double leg takedown but Santos sprawls well. He's pushed Fuentes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Santos lands a nice looking body shot.
Fuentes has closed the distance and engaged Santos in a clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Santos slaps away a takedown attempt from Fuentes, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Santos only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Fuentes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Santos avoids it really well and circles away.
Santos appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Fuentes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Santos as he jumps to the side.
